ELDON — Pauline W. Burrows, 80, formerly of Eldon, entered into rest Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Society in Keosauqua, Iowa. She was born in Eldon Nov. 12, 1928, to Marion W. and Bessie E. Huffstutter Stibling. Pauline was a 1946 graduate of Eldon High School. She and Glenn E. "Boney" Burrows Jr. were united in marriage Sept. 14, 1946, in Fairfield, Iowa. They resided over the years in Bloomfield, Agency, Ottumwa, Fairfield and retiring in Eldon. "Boney" died in 2005.Pauline's working life included years at Parsons College in Fairfield, Jefferson Square Manor and Ridgewood Care Center in Ottumwa.She had attended the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon.Left to honor and cherish Pauline's life are two brothers, Charles and Paul, and her loving extended family including several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Jane Ann in 1960; two brothers Elmer "Pete" and Donald Stribling; and two sisters Bernice Hale and Opal Stribling.Cremation was accorded. No visitation is planned. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at the Eldon Cemetery with Pastor David Albert officiating. Memorials may be left to the McHaffey Opera House in Eldon, the Good Samaritan Society or Helping Hands in Keosauqua.Kremer Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
