Mrs. Victoria Johnson is dead at age 82

Mrs. Victoria Pallister Johnson died at the St. Joseph's hospital at 8:40 a.m. today on her 82nd birthday. Her home was at 125 Vogel Ave.

She was the daughter of John and Sarah Pallister well known early Ottumwans who came here from Canada where Mrs. Johnson was born at Quebec Aug. 13, 1866.

Survivors are her daughter Mrs. James Swirles, and grandaughter Mrs. Edwin Lund; both of Minneapolis; and two sisters; Mrs. W.E. Cook and Miss Ann Pallister both of Ottumwa.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Episcopal church and Trinity Guide of the church. The body is at the Jay Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Victoria Johnson who died Friday morning will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Rev Louis H. Matheus will be in charge.
