Has Passed Away; Demise of Mrs. J.F. Knox Announced From Mt. Pleasant Yesterday

J. F. Knox, who lives about six miles southwest of the city received a telegram yesterday evening announcing the death of his wife, at the hospital at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Knox left on Burlington No. 4 for that place and will bring the remains to Ottumwa this afternoon. The funeral will probably be held tomorrow, although Mr. Knox stated that definite arrangements had not been made when he left here.

Hannah M. Scully was born February 17, 1856 in Boston, Mass. She removed to Wapello county when but a child and has made this county her home ever since. She was married to J.F. Knox, February 6, 1882. Five children were born to this union and all of them survive the mother. Their names are Joseph, aged 17, Anna 15, Clara 13, Eva, 11 and John 7. They all reside at the home.
