Mrs. Minnie Whelan 83, died Tuesday at 6:10 p.m. at the Rest Haven Home.
The daughter of Thomas and Anna Kuhns Hampton she was born Dec. 25, 1876 in Monroe County Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick, who died Nov. 5, 1958, and by two sons, and a daughter.
Mrs Whalen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are one brother; Martin Hampton of Des Moines, and a sister Mrs. Fannie Gleason of St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Charles Griener. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will meet at the Reece Funeral Home at 8 p.m. tonight to recite the Rosary.
