WIDOW OF CIVIL WAR VETERAN DIES

Mrs. Rosa Wagers 94, who formerly lived at 927 West Second Street died at 4:30 a.m. today at the Iowa Soldiers Home at Marshalltown.

She was born March 9, 1870 in Monroe County Iowa; the daughter of Newton and Hannah Van Cleave.

Surviving are a sister; Mrs. Ella Angel of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother John Van Cleave of of Phillips S.D., and several nieces ad nephews; including Mrs. Dan Findley of Ottumwa and John Warren of Ottumwa.

She was the wife of the late Henry B. Wagers; former Wapello County Official and Civil War Vet.

The body is being returned to Jay funeral home at Ottumwa today. Services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Jay funeral home with the Rev. Paul N. Hamm of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be at Agency Cemetery.
