Robert Gandy Harlan of 326 North McSpherson WW I VET and practically a life time resident of Ottumwa died at his home Sunday at 8:40 p.m.

Mr. Harland was born March 14, 1887 in Rushville, ILL; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harlan. He came with his parents to Ottumwa while an infant.

He entered the Army July 22, 1918, in CO D THIRD REG at Camp Pike, Arkansas. He was discharged January 10, 1919. He was a member of the O.B. Nelson Post 3 of the American Legion.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Vaughn funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathoic Church of Ottumwa. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
