OTTUMWA — Doris Darlene Martin of 296 N. Davis St., Ottumwa, Iowa went home to be with her Savior on June 24, 2008, at the University of Iowa Health Center in Iowa City.She was born Dec. 10, 1940 to John and Grace Meeker McNabb at Delta, Iowa. She married Walter “Red” Martin on Aug. 18, 1971. Doris was a faithful attendee and tireless volunteer at First Pentecostal Assembly of God in Ottumwa.Doris is survived by her husband; two sisters, Marie Martin of Beacon and Meta Brown of Delta; two stepsons; a stepdaughter; six stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.A memorial service will be conducted at First Pentecostal Assembly of God in Ottumwa, Iowa on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. Pastors Richard Schlotter and George Edgerly will officiate. The body has been cremated. Inurnment will be at the Delta Cemetery at a later date.The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with arrangements.
