Funeral services for Chris J. Huston 61. Investment Securities dealer here, died at 12:30 p.m. today after a lingering illness at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been a patient in the hospital since early June.

Mr. Huston represented Quail and Company, investment bankers of Davenport, and in the securities business for many years. As a young man; he was circulation manager of the Ottumwa Courier.

He had been active in the Civic life of the city; working on Community Chest Drives, and during WW II, he worked in every War Bond Campaigne as Chairman of the organizations division.

He was born Nov. 4, 1888 to Christopher and Bridget Gallagher Huston. He is survived by three sons, Chris JR.,and Paul Hiuston of Chicago, and Mike Huston of Ottumwa, and by one brother John Huston; editor of the Ottumwa Courier, and one grandaughter. His wife died in 1949.

Funeral services for Mr. Huston of 946 North Court Street will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church; the Rev. M.J. Brockerdick officiating. Members of the parrish will meet at Traul Funeral Home Friday at 8:00 p.m. to recite the rosary. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and Holy Name Society, and Elks Lodge.
