OTTUMWA – Robert “Bob” Littlejohn, 74, of 1600 Steller Ave. Apt. 27, died at 12:10 a.m. May 26, 2008 at Ridgewood Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born November 28, 1933 in Ottumwa to Lawrence and Lois Garman Littlejohn. He married Evelyn Jameson July 25, 1954 in Ottumwa.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1952 and Iowa Tech, he worked for the city of Ottumwa and the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, was president of the Ottumwa National Little League from 1976 to 1977, and enjoyed playing games on the computer, fishing, camping, playing pool and all sports.

Surviving is his wife, a daughter, Candy Lampe of Bettendorf; four sons, Mark Littlejohn of Ottumwa, Roger (Brenda) Littlejohn of Orlando, Fla., Brian (Deb) Littlejohn of Agency and Matt (Rene) Littlejohn of Guymon, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Sally Scott of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Larry and Gertrude Littlejohn and his mother and stepfather, Lois and Raymond McGee. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Gray officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to Hospice at 312 E. Alta Vista Ave. Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
