Lena Scott 97 of Ottumwa Manor died there today at 12:45 p.m.

She was born March 1, 1884, near Colfax to George and Sarah Ash Winpigler. She married Charles Scott Sep. 8, 1904 in Ottumwa. He died March 19, 1967.

Survivors: Son Earl of Hedrick; daughter Irene Freeman of Ottumwa; two grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Dr. Ralph D. Anderson officiating. Burial will be at brooks Cemetery at Hedrick. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
