OTTUMWA – Marjorie Bergmeier, 76, of 609 E. Pennsylvania, died at 6:20 p.m. March 21, 2008, at Hospice House.She was born Dec. 13, 1931, in Ottumwa, to Victor and Leta Opal Martin Bergmeier.
She worked for Swift and Company and was active with the Promise Center.

Surviving are two sisters, Nancy (Richard) Tucker of Stanwood, Washington, and Bonnie Rowell of Ottumwa; 14 nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews and 24 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Virgil and Kenneth Bergmeier; four nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Kate Stangl officiating. Burial will be at Ottumwa Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.Casket Bearers will be Rick Rowell, Bryan Canny, Doug Canny, Charles Williams, Kenneth Bergmeier Jr., and Joe Trachsel.Memorials may be made to Rescare Overlook Apts. or East End Presbyterian Church.
