Mr. Charles O'Brien of 211 North Benson died at the St. Joseph's Hospital today at 3:30 a.m. He had been in failing health for two years.

He was born Feb. 13, 1886 at Ottumwa. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for all of his life and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. His marriage to Catherine Rowland took place at Ottumwa June 28, 1916.

Surviving are three sons; John and Richard of Ottumwa and Charles; and one daughter Mrs. Kenneth Coughlan of Ottumwa.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Traul Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral.
