OTTUMWA — Irene Fidler, age 100, formerly of Bloomfield, entered into new life on March 10, 2008, at Ottumwa Manor in Ottumwa.She was born on March 21, 1907 in Mahaska Co. to Charles and Lillie Belle Pearson Fuller.

She married Garold E. Fidler on Jan. 1, 1931 in Bloomfield; he preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1958.She had lived most of her adult life in Bloomfield where she was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Eagles Lodge in Ottumwa.

She is survived by her son, Cecil (Marilyn) Fidler of Commanche, Iowa; her grandchildren, Brenda (Jim) Murray and Gary Fidler; great-granddaughter, Candice.

Besides her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Eli, Earl and Perry Fuller; and her sister, Alta Johnson.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon 2 o’clock at the Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield with Pastor Jim Wakelin officiating. Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.Open visitation will begin at noon on Thursday with the family present at that time until service time.Memorials may be directed to the Shriner’s Children Hospital and may be left at the Chapel.
