Rachel M. Hoffstatter, 93, of East Moline, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery, Eldon, Iowa.

Rachel was born Aug. 4, 1912, in McFarland, Kan., to James and Nina Sloan Hoffstatter.

She was a telephone operator and a clerk at the Plaza Motel in Silvis.

Survivors include her friends, Marie Engall and Betty McFarland, both of East Moline, and several other friends.
