Son of James Simon Grimes & Fannie Arminda Winningham Grimes. Married Guineverie Guthrie Oct. 26, 1937 at Lancastor, MO.

Survivors are his wife, two sons; Dewey Grimes of Ottumwa, and Jason Lloyd of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; two brothers; Reuben of California and Rex of Ottumwa; and one sister Lottie Grimes Clark of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; one step brother and one step sister.

The service will be held Wednesday at Jay Funeral Home at 11 am. with the Rev. Spillman officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Clarence Jacquinot, Jess Jacquinot, Jr. Clark, Phil Grimes, and Tim Lanigan.
