John Knight, 57, Ottumwa
OTTUMWA — John E. Knight, 57, of 902 Lillian, died July 15, 2007, as a result of drowning in the Des Moines River near Ottumwa.

He was born Feb. 25, 1950 in Far Rockaway, N.Y.

A resident of Ottumwa since 1972, he owned and operated several taverns in Ottumwa.

Surviving is a son, Michael John Knight of Livermore, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Loyd Osborn officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be open at 10 a.m. Thursday.
