Dorothy Bell, 84, Ottumwa
OTTUMWA — Dorothy Marie Bell passed away on April 13, 2007, at the Immanuel Fontenelle Home in Omaha, Neb. where she lived for the past five and a half years.

She was born on April 2, 1923 in Ottumwa, Iowa and was the third child to the union of Washington R. and Careta V. Williams.

An Ottumwa High School graduate, she worked for Mr. and Mrs. George Morrell and family and was an LPN at Ottumwa Hospital.

She was preceded in her home going by her husband, Frank Bell Sr.; her son, Dwight L. Bell; her parents; sisters, Neola Williams and Mildred Pierson; two brothers, Vernon (in infancy) and Washington R. Williams Jr. (Sonny) and an infant great-grandchild, Lucian White.

She is survived by two sons, Roy of Ottumwa; and Frank (Clem) of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Elsie Jackson (Fred) of Ottumwa, Iowa; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, Ottumwa, Iowa with Rev. Frank Bell, Rev. Vernetta Watson, Rev. T.J. Jones and Rev. Charles C. Ellis officiating. Interment will be in Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa, Iowa.

Open visitation begins 9 a.m. Friday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home with family present Friday from 7-8 p.m.
