Hildred E. Turner, 96, of Ottumwa died of a respiratory ailment Monday at Vista Woods Care Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home, with burial at Shaul Cemetery.

Born in Corning, Mrs. Turner had lived in Des Moines for 40 years, where she retired as a nurse's aide at Wesley Acres Care Center. She moved to Ottumwa in 1987.

She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Krafka of Ottumwa and Twila Hadden of Montezuma; a son, Donald Keever of Indianola; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to sevices Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa.
