Lee E. Latta 82 of Bloomfield Route 3 died at 5: a.m. today at Ottumwa Hospital.

The son of Harvey M. and Grace Holeman Latta; he was born April 20, 1884 at Henry County. He was a retired farmer and had a resident of the Ottumwa community for 45 years until he moved a year ago to live with his daughter.

Mr. Latta is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Faye Buckhalter with whom he lived and Mrs. Tinna Simmons of Des Moines; one son Robert Earl Latta of of San Diego, California; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in life by his wife Anna in 1963 and by three brothers.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.sm at Reece funeral home with the Rev. David Ash of Williard Street Methodist church officiating.

Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
