HEDRICK — Marcy J. Garrels, 46, of 3871 180th St., died at 12 p.m., April 13, 2007 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

She was born September 23, 1960 in Ottumwa to James and Sharon Gaffield Nevins. She married Clarence “Inky” Garrels May 22, 1993.

A graduate of Bloomfield High School, she had worked for the last 10 years as a home health aid for Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was affiliated with the Nazarene Church.

Surviving is her husband, Clarence; two sons, John Garrels of Kirkville and Quentin Garrels at home; three daughters, Jessica (Tarren) Spears and Tacy Garrels both of Sigourney, Angel Spears at home; two grandchildren, Kaen Kopp and Sokona Sadi; her parents, James and Sharon Nevins of Bloomfield; two brothers, Rod (Susan) Nevins of Savannah and Rowdy (Darion) Nevins of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Audrey and Richard Gaffield, Mary Garmon and Sylvester Nevins.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Grover Branson officiating.

Burial will be in Deuser Cemetery.
