Statia Feehan Dies At 88

Miss Statia C. Feehan 88 of 610 E. Second St. died Wednesday at 2 a.m. in a Boulder Colo. hospital. She had been an Ottumwa teacher for 45 years retiring in 1949. Most of her time as a Kindergarten teacher at Irving school.

She was born Oct. 11, 1883 in Ottumwa; the daughter of John and Mary McCormick Feehan, and had lived here until moving to Boulder about two years ago.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the National Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Rosemary Knox of Boulder Colo. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

The body has been returned to the Johnson's Funeral Chapel where a requiem mass will be celebrated by the pastor Rev. R.J. Murphy.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 5 o;clock tonight at Johnson Funeral Chapel.
