Mrs. Elizabeth E. Pond wife of Clyde Pond, died suddenly at 10:15 p.m. at her home in Des Moines.
She was born in Ottumwa July 25, 1883 , the daughter of Kinsey and Julia Jordan. The father was well known in Ottumwa, the father being better known as "Stormy" Jordan. The family resided on East Main St. until moving to Minneapolis, after the death of Mr. Jordan. Mrs. Pond has made her home in Des Moines since 1912. Mr. Pond a Burington railroader operated between Des Moines and Ottumwa. Besides her husband Mrs. Pond is survived by one sister, Mrs, Sarah Vera Yahnke of Chicago, a half sister, Mrs. Cea Riley of Chicago, and one brother Kinsey Jordan of Baltimore.

The body was brought to the Carroll Reece funeral home here to await the completion of funeral arrangements.

Pond Service---Funeral services for Elizabeth A. Pond who died Sunday evening at her home in Des Moines , will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Carroll Reece funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
