Harold Langgin, 92, Ottumwa

OTTUMWA- Harold E. Langgin Sr., 92, of 936 Ingersoll, died at 2:25 p.m. September 16, 2006 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born March 7, 1914 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Frank and Myrtle McNabb Langgin. He married Fern Frazier July 11, 1935.

A resident of Ottumwa all his life, he worked for John Morrell and Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1973. He was presently a member of Evangical Foursquare Church where he served as councilman. He had been a member at Westminister Presbyterian Church where he served as elder for many years.

Surviving is his wife; a daughter Beverly Clement of houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; twenty two great - grandchildren; and five great - great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Harold E. Langgin Jr.; an infant son LaVerne Langgin; a brother Charles Langgin; and a step brother, George McNabb.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral home with Rev. Richard Kessler officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Monday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to Evangelical Foursquare Church.
