October 02, 2001OTTUMWA - RICHARD "DICK" BITNER 66, of 10952 Bladensburg Road died at 1:08 am September 30, 2001, in Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born January 09, 1935, in Ottumwa,Iowa to KENNETH and LOLA PEARSON BITNER. He married KAY WILLIAMSON May 15, 1955 in Ottumwa,Iowa.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, TIM and DOUG of Ottumwa,Iowa; his mother of Ottumwa,Iowa;4 grandchildren; 2 brothers DAN of Grand Junction Colorado ,and DAVE of Eurelka Springs, Arkansas; 3 sisters, DOROTHY BIRMINGHAM of Tulsa, Oklahoma, LOREN NICKS of Owasso, Oklahoma, and MARILYN CUMPTON of Tucson, Arizona.
The service will be 10:30 am, Wednesday October 03, in Faith Baptist Church, the Rev. Phil GRIFFITH officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery of Ottumwa.
Visitation will begin after 9am, today, Tuesday, in Reece Funeral Home with family preent from 6-8pm.
Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund.
