Services for MRS. DELLA (GROOMS) HALL, 83, of 2930 Cottage Grove Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, who died of cancer Tuesday (September 3, 1957) at her home will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church in Christianburg where she was a member. Burial will be in Chisman Cemetery at Christianburg,Iowa.

MRS. HALL, a retired school teacher and nurse, was born at Christianburg,Iowa in Wapello County, Iowa and came to Des Moines 8 years ago. She resided here with her daughter, MRS. (Miriam Elffrieda Hall) John D. Hansen.

Also surviving are a sister, MRS. WINIFRED HAND of Ottumwa,Iowa and three grandchildren MAURINE ESTELLE HANSEN, MAURICE [Morry] WESTON HANSEN, and JOHN NORMAN HANSEN.

MRS. DELLA HALL, 83, formerly of Christianburg,Iowa, died Tuesday (September 3, 1957) at the home of her daughter, MRS. JOHN D. HANSEN in Des Moines,Iowa following a six-month illness.

She was born December 18, 1873 the daughter of JAMES and SARAH JOHNSTON GROOMS.

Before moving to Des Moines,Iowa eight years ago, she lived on the JAMES GROOMS farm in Christianburg,Iowa. She was a nurse until she was 82 years old.

Survivors include her daughter, MRS. MIRIAM(JOHN D.) HANSEN of Des Moines, Iowa, one sister, MRS. WINIFRED HAND of Ottumwa,Iowa and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Christianburg Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Chisman cemetery.
