THOMAS SHELBY MYERS, son of JOHN and OLLIE McCARTY MYERS was born May 09, 1898 at Mt. Zion, Van Buren County Iowa. He died May 09, 1930.

He spent his childhod days in Mt. Zion, uniting with the Presbyterian church. On July 23, 1921, he united in marriage with MISS MARGUIRITE JAMESON of Keosaqua, Iowa, and to them 3 children were born. THOMAS EDWARD MYERS, DONAVAN PERDELL and MARGIE LOU.

He was working for the ROCK ISLAND RAILROAD and afterwards went into farming when he moved to Agency, Iowa and later to Eldon, Iowa.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, 3 children, his father and mother; brothers CLYDE of Mt. Zion,Iowa, CHARLES of Douds,Iowa, LIG of DES MOINES,Iowa, WILLIAM of Eldon,Iowa Also four sisters; MRS. MALEN LENSFORD ADAMS SELLWOOD(HELEN MYERS; my grandmother) of OTTUMWA,Iowa, MRS. GEORGE HOUDYSHELL (KATE MYERS) of Mt. Zion,Iowa, MRS. JOHN PARKER (ANNA JOSEPHINE MYERS) of Mt. ZION,Iowa and TILLIE MYERS of Mt. Zion,Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, Sunday may 11th at 2 pm. Rev. M.D. COX officiating, pastor of M.E. Church of KEOSAQUA, Iowa. Burial was in PARDUM CEMETERY at Keosaqua, Van Buren Iowa.
