SHEPHERD, D.W., farmer, Sec. 2; P.O. Blakesburg, Iowa; born in Athens County, Ohio in 1823; in 1825 moved to Mercer County, Ohio; in 1842 moved to Illinois,; in 1853, came to Wapello County, Iowa; has since been engaged in farming. MR. SHEPHERD has three children by first marriage--LOUISA J.; MARY E; and RACHEL. His present wife's madien name (page 655 and 656 missing).
