Jacob Josiah Bailey

Jacob Josiah Bailey had a farm in Cedar Township, Van Buren County, Iowa. He married Rosanna Matilda Gill about 1852-1853, based upon the age of their first born in the 1860 Census.

They had at least 12 children that lived to be recorded in the 1880 US Census. It is said that Rosanna died about 1890.

I cannot find the name of his parents. He seemed to go by both Jacob (1860 Census) and Josiah (1870 & 1880 Census)

Looking for any information regarding his family. Sons were: Oliver, William Edmund, W. S., Willis, Josiah W. and Lawrence H.
