Whitsells and Smiths in Iowa

WHITSELL, WHITSEL, SMITH , WILLIAMS JACOBELIZA

Does anyone have any information about the woolen mill in Bonaparte, Iowa? Might anyone else have had a great-grandparent or other ancestor who worked there?

Does anyone have any information about a saloon on the front street of Bonaparte (described by my grandfather as a 'decent place' lest any of his descendants got the wrong idea), run by a German grocer (my great grandfather Ernest William Smith) who lived upstairs?

Might there be anyone else whose ancestors were in Farmington's Burlington Route Band? (I have a few photos)

My great grandmother took music lessons from someone called Sam Spurgeon. Does anyone have any information about him?

Finally, does anyone have any information about the Whitsell bakery in Farmington,Iowa? Or the Whitsells (Leon Otto and George Washington) of Centerville/Farmington, Iowa? Or the Williams Family of Centerville, Iowa?
