I'd be interested in anyone that could tell me stories about my dad. His name was Ellwood R. Anderson, known to most of the town as "Butch" or "Andy" Anderson. He often told me of his colorful friends and adventures in Keosauqua. I'm researching his times in Keosauqua in preparation for writing a musical. His senior class of 1930 witnessed the onset of the Great Depression and that is the period I want to focus on. Any thoughts? His wife Edith from Eldon, Iowa - maiden name Edith Moore. He worked at his father's and uncle Fred Zeigler's butcher shop. He was a great hunter and fisherman and worked for the state game commission for a while in the early '30s. Also, he was an Assistant Fire Chief in Keosauqua for a while. His father Elwood Sr. died of smoke inhalation in a fire at their house around 1930-31. I'm calling my musical "Songs from Horseshoe Bend".
