Horace D. Gorham, Jane Dutton

I am looking for information on Horace D. Gorham and Jane Dutton they were supposed to have been married in Van Buren, Iowa on Oct 5, 1844. Previously he was married to her sister Electa Dutton in Rutland, Vermont, and they were divorced. Horace used the title Dr. after having lost his eyesight for a time and an Indian was supposed to have shown him a treatment that restored his eyesight. He also was supposed to have opened up the first coal mine on the Des Moine river, but I cannot find anything about this. If anyone has any information on these people I would appreciate it very much. I have extensive information on this family, just not for the time period they lived in Iowa. He is buried in Arkansas.
