I have Amos Sherod b in Ohio who married a Mary Karns (or Carnes) who was b in TN. 2 sons born were Kinsey & William Nichols.

William Nichols Sherod b 9 Mar 1829 in OH, married Elizabeth Barker b 18 Nov 1840 in Van Buren County, IA. William died 4 Sep 1909 and Elizabeth d 11 Jul 1921, both in Van Buren County. I show 4 boys and 4 girls born of this marriage.

One is a Amos R. born abt 1878. One of his sister's (Zadie Emily) married a Henry Louis Jackson, my maternal GGrandparents.
