WEBSTER Family

WEBSTER, RITZ

In the 1900 U S Census, Chequest Twp, Van Buren Co., IA, 04 June 1900, I found one Samuel B. WEBSTER, age 87, b 1812-1813 VA. I believe he is an older brother of my distaff 3rd great-grandfather, one Joseph Reuben WEBSTER b 27 November 1814.

Joseph reared his family just south of Van Buren Co., IA, in the contiguous Missouri county of Schuyler.

Samuel B. WEBSTER above married an Elizabeth and had nine known children: Joseph, William J., Susan, Thomas J., John M., Marinda Ellen, Rachel R., Samuel, and Sarah F. All these names appear in the WEBSTER family in the earlier generation.

John M. WEBSTER abovementioned married one Susan A. RITZ, I believe. Both are buried in Leando Cemetery across the Des Moines River from Douds, Iowa.

Does anyone research this line?

I would be happy to share more information about our shared WEBSTER heritage.
