Marriage of Harriett P. Patterson and George Irwin

Good day; I am trying to research the Patterson family, specifically Harriett P. Patterson, and I believe her parents were William Patterson (1815-1847) and Agnes Nancy Denning (1814-1897). I have found a record that Harriett P. Patterson's first marriage was to George Irwin, on June 27, 1861, near Birmingham, Van Buren County. I don't have any record of what happened to that marriage. I can't even find George Irwin past the marriage record. Harriett later married George Byron Day in 1868 and they lived in Bridgeport, California. Harriett had a daughter named Annie, that was not of her marriage to George B. Day. Annie later died prior to 1900 in San Francisco. I cannot find "Annie" in any census record. Just family notes that she was Harriett's daughter, and George Day's step-daughter. It is not known what last name she was using. Would you have any record of Annie's birth, with George Irwin as the father? Guessing birth to be about March of 1862? Thank you for your time, very much appreciated.
