I am researching Harriet Postlewait, born Burlington Iowa c.1849. She married William Montgomery, English artist in Brixen, Austria in 1886; they came to Australia the same year.
Harriet died at Melbourne in 1900 and I have been unable to trace her American family, although they seem very well-connected.
I'd be interested if you have come across her name or her parents, Mary (nee Workman) and William Postlewait.

A long shot... but....
