Benjamin Fassett and his wife Azubah Harrington Fassett moved their family to Van Buren County Iowa from Jefferson County New York in 1837, settling in Farmington. Their children married locally - Rosilla m. Thomas Heaight; Mary (Polly) married William Bowles; Sarah Ann married first William White, then Peter Russell; Napoleon Bonaparte married Frances Jane Anderson; Elizabeth (Betsey); Benjamin Alonzo m. America McCoy first, then Margaret Coulter Strong. Other families who married relatives include Baker and Munz.
