Bonnette Schoolhouse

The Bonnette Schoolhouse is located on the east side of Birmingham, Iowa on the road to Smith Cemetery on the north side on a corner piece of property just before the cemetery. My aunt and uncle (The Bagbys) use to take care of the property for years. My aunt's mother (my grandmother) was Festusina Bonnet.

I was wondering which Bonnet family this was in honor of. There were several 'Bonnet/Bonnette' families in the area. Any information about this schoolhouse would be much appreciated.
