I looked him up in 1860 to see his age and family. He appears to have died
between 1860 and 1870.
I found wife Margaret in Appanoose County in 1870 with youngest son Addison
9. The other four children of the marriage I found scattered. The two
girls were employed in different households as domestic servants and the two
boys on different farms as farm laborers--even 10 year old William.

1870 Centre, Appanoose Co. Iowa
Margaret E. Gill age 41 keeping house $1100, $250, born Ohio
Addison O. age 9, born Iowa, attends school

I could not find him in 1850.
