I would be very interested in the obituary you have; my 3rd great grandmother was also named Jane McCracken (She was born in Scotland; d. Jul 30, 1832 in Queens Co., Ireland. M. to James Craig, also born in Scotland). I do not have her father's name; her mother's name was Betty Hood.

Her daughter Sarah Craig (b. July 27, 1832 in Ireland, d. May 5, 1898 in Van Buren Co., Iowa) was married Oct 1, 1855 in Dayton, Ohio to my Great-great grandfather, William Dooley.

I believe the James Craig family was traveling with other members of the McCracken family to Dayton, Ohio and am also researching Ohio records.
