Darlene,

You are correct in the fact that Myrtle was my great great grandmother. My dad and grandfather were both Robert and My great grandfather was Lamar. Most of the Knowles migrated to Iowa from Knox County Ohio around 1857-1859. Several marriages and land purchases from other members clarify that. I think David and kin moved from Connecticut to Iowa around 1812-1815. I am unsure of that due to several other Davids listed.
