Theresa Jane Shepherd was the daughter of Elmer and Margaret (Beck) Shepherd, born in Bentonsport, Van Buren County, Iowa. I am just beginning my search on this line. Theresa was born December 23rd, 1906. She is the niece of William H. Long,who was born about 1879, or his wife (Nancy?)per the 1920 census of Council Bluffs (where they lived temporarily). She married Newell Arnet Niswonger in 1925, in Missouri I think. She is the granddaughter of John Q. Beck of Bentonsport/Bonaparte. Her father Elmer was one of 6 children. I am hopeing to find someone working on his line, believed to be F.O. Shepherd and Hannah Jane McCracken, parents. Thanks Juanita
