Still working on William P McMillan;his obit states he taught several sessions of school in Birmingham, Ia, VB Co (probably 1850-1860). Did receive verification he graduated from Univ of Pittsburgh in 1847 with teaching degree. Came to Ia somewhere around 1848-1849. Marriage cert. states he was residing in Jefferson Co before marriage 1-1-1850. Any ideas what schools he may have been teaching at or any place I may find records of school teachers in this time frame? Thank you for any info you may have.
