I am researching my Great Grandfather John Evans,born October 24, 1820 in Ohio, Married Catherine Swalley December 9, 1856 in the home of her father Benjamin Swalley in Davis County Iowa. They appearantly resided in Bonaparte, Van Buren County, Iowa from 1856 until about 1864 when they moved to Calhoun, Henry County, Missouri. I have hit a roadblock with John Evans and Benjamin Swalley, where were they from? who were their family members (parents, siblings)? I will share what I have & hopfully someone has something to share with me.
