In answer to your question if W. H. was William Harl Barnett it is not. He married Anna Mae Norris in Van Buren Co. Dec. 14,1911 in Keosauqua. He then followed the railroad and ended up in Trenton Mo. where he died. He was my husbands father. In the Turkey Creek census It lists Margaret as being 15 years old born in Ia and her father Joseph as being born in Ohio. Do know that Josephs family moved to Perry Co. Ohio from Baltimore Maryland where his dad was born. And it says his mother was born in Ohio. Dont know her name as I havent been able to trace back that far and keep getting conflicting names. Joseph was married the second time to Maggie F. Rhodes which would be Margarets stepmother. Margaret did not appear in the 1885 census and maybe stayed in Kansas when the family moved back to Van Buren Co. Do know that sometimes the census is not right on the dates. Would like to find out where Flora Bell and Clara M. went but hard to do if they were married and I dont know their name.I dont belong to the census and have relied on other people I can find to give me information. I live in a small town Aledo, Illinois just 15 miles from the Mississippi river. Please let me know if I can answer any more of your questions . Benjamin Franklin Barnetts family stayed around Keosauqua and he and his wife Priscilla are buried there. The only one that moved very far away was William Harl. Patricia Barnett
