Searching Bennett

I am searching for the names of the children of Joel and Jane Bennett. They were married in Clarksburg, Harrison Co., West Virginia in August of 1818. They were both born in Virginia (maybe Mason Co. Kentucky). Joel enlisted in the Virginia Militia at 19 being born about 1795 perhaps. He served in the Militia during the war of 1812 (aug. 1814-Feb. 22, 1815)
He was promoted from Private to Corporal to Sergeant and received a medical discharge due to a bullet wound to the leg.

The Census of 1850 states that he homesteaded in Van Buren Co. Iowa...I just pulled Land patent records from the Iowa gen web that says he had 122.98 acres of land in Van Buren Co. IA and also 42.94 acres in Lee Co. Ia. in Township 30. I can not seem to find out when they came to Iowa.

Their one son, Jacob is the 2nd generation in our family history and also lived and farmed in Van Buren Co. Iowa.
