1840 Robert Gordon Justice of Peace

I have a document from Robert Lucas 1840 who appointed Robert Gordon Justice of the Peace for Van Buren County. On the front of the document it shows the Secy & Territory James Clarke, on the back of the document it shows Robert Handwriting and his oath.

I cannot find any information on Robert Gordon, I hope that you can help.
