rev john swasey came to van buren cty between the years 1823-1837 with his wife and 9 children from St. johnsbury Vt. He was a bi-vocational preached - farmer .The Names off the children are Henneneal (served in the 13th Ia co D),Joseph Amos,Ezekel(served in the 37TH Ia. co. C),Hazen Dudley,Mary Jane,Eliza,Hezakiah,john,Charles.Im trying to put together a bio scetch of them and others in my geneolgy.
