Looking for further information on an Arretta C. Wells who married an S. Emerick. There is a Silas Emerick in the William Emerick household in Chequest Twp, Van Buren Co., IA in the 1860 census. Nt sure if this could be him or not. Arretta C. Wells was b 12/1/1849 and d 8/21/1880 and I believe she may be a sibling to my 2nd g-grandfather, Eugene Ebeneezer Wells who married Lydia Ann Irish in Linn Co., IA. Their father would be Plinby E. Wells and mother would be Hepsabeth "Hepsi" Ann Currier.
