Philadelphia was an early, early name for a settlement that eventually became known as Kilbourne. See both names at http://iavanburen.org/placenamesvbcv1.htm

Perhaps if you post the obituary of the brother it would help answer some questions. What time period would this be?

Someone from "Philadelphia, Van Buren Co." would not be around to "chat with" I'm afraid.
