I am not researching this family, but I do have the inscription booklet for Harness Cemetery, which is just outside of Mt Sterling. There is a listing for:

JACK, Lewis T. (4 Nov 1861 - 14 Feb 1942)
JACK, Carrie B. (5 Jun 1867 - 15 Apr 1954)

Carrie's maiden name was SCOTTEN.

Directly next to their gravestone are 2 other stones:

JACK, Paul V. (1896 - 1992)

JACK, Lurena Lorrene (1923 - blank)

There are many other JACK family members in the cemetery - including Wynona - whose yard I believe I mowed as a kid.

Hopefully some of this helps. I do not have any obituaries.
